Valencia (30.12.20). The Center of Perfection of the Palau de les Arts was opened to the patronage of the civil society, with the incorporation of the first Valencian patrons for this training project for young singers and pianists.

Susana Lloret, Trinidad Roig and Vicente Ruiz lead this initiative to donate support to the new talents in Valencia to complete their six artistic studies and carry out their first forays with professional performers.

The contribution of the first patrons of the Center de Perfection amounts to 60,000 euros and its main aim is to contribute to the functioning and development of an excellent training in the only 'opera studio' that exists in Spain and that currently operates under the tutelage of the artistic director of Les Arts, Jesús Iglesias Noriega.

Susana Lloret, as one of the first patrons of the project, has highlighted the need for the civil society to provide support to the institution, in accordance with the way in which the Palau de les Arts has been open to this civil society.

Lloret has made reference to the reform of the statutes of Les Arts which, in a similar way to the great theaters of the circuit, confers the presidency of the board to the civil society, a role that is at the beginning of this new stage i that Pablo Font de Mora currently occupies.

This patronage work supports young talents and guarantees optimal training and professional insertion, “especially in a discipline as global and competitive as poetry” in a space of excellence such as Les Arts.

Susana Lloret, Trinidad Roig and Vicente Ruiz have materialized their new entry as patrons of the Center de Perfectionament on the occasion of the performances of 'La Cenerentola', by Rossini, a title that marked the debut in a major Les Arts production for the Romanese soprano Larisa Stefan and the Russian 'mezzo-soprano' Evgeniya Khomutova, students of The current promotion of the training center.

The opening of the patronage of the Center de Perfection to the civil society is one of the lines of work between which the direction of Les Arts will establish new ways of collaboration between the public sector and the private initiative through projects and proposals that combine the artistic competence and the values of the institution.

According to the general director of the theater, José Monforte, in this way, everyone who joins this patronage proposal, in addition to contributing to the professional and personal development of the artists and the growth of the Center for Mateix Perfection, donates support to the projection and consolidation of Les Arts as a cultural center of reference.

“After their training at the Center de Perfectionament, the singers and the pianists will carry the name of Les Arts i de la Comunitat Valenciana for the theaters and auditors to develop their second career, which will provide proof of the high professionalism and the quality standards of the institution,” he explained.

Centre de Perfeccionament

The Center de Perfectionament del Palau de les Arts ('opera studio' of the Palau de les Arts) has a formal objective to promote high-level professional training aimed at young singers and musicians from Spain, the European Union and the rest of the world; prepare organically and structurally the lyrical singer and favor as much as possible the adequate insertion of this in the professional world.

However, during the training period, the members of the opera studio come and live with the Palau de les Arts on a daily basis, participate in the activities programmed in each season and are in close contact with the artists who participate in these events.

The components of the Center de Perfectionament hi develop their interpretive style, focus on the musical and dramatic nature of the characters and operas, and delve into something so essential to any singer as the sense of expression, of the gesture, of the intention of the paraula and the natural theatrical nature. Assume the fundamental idea of the importance of the book, of the dramaturgy, of the historical context of each opera, of its influences and consequences, etc.

However, their members tend to be part of the distributions and productions programmed at the Palau de les Arts, both those promoted by the Mateix Center de Perfectionament and those who make up the subscription season. In this way, they come into direct contact with the reality of the theater, together with great singers and orchestral and stage directors.

In addition to trobades and master classes with the artists who participate in the general programming of each season of the Palau de les Arts (stage directors, musical directors, set designers, costume designers...), the institution also promotes exchanges with three international improvement centers.
