Valencia (09.02.21). The German baritone Christian Gerhaher performs works by Robert Schumann and Claude Debussy in his debut at the Palau de les Arts this Sunday, February 12, at 7:00 p.m., during the cycle 'Les Arts és Lied'.

The main hall represents one of the most celebrated tandems of this genre, the format of the German singer, considered the greatest liederist 'pur', and the pianist Gerold Huber, both of whom have visited the most prestigious concert halls, in addition to making reference recordings of songs by Schubert, Schumann and Mahler.

For his first performance at the Arts, Gerhaher has selected a program that unites the German tradition of the 'lied' with the French 'chanson', in which he will alternate works by Robert Schumann ('Drei Gesänge op.83', 'Sechs Gesänge op. 89' and 'Sechs Gesänge op.107'; 'Lieder und Gesänge op. 96' and 'Vier Husarenlieder op. 117') with songs by Claude Debussy ('Trois chansons de France' and 'Trois poèmes de Mallarmé').

Les Arts, in its quest to diversify audiences and address all forms of musical expression, brings together in 'Les Arts és Lied' the most renowned stars of the international circuit. The next dates include the established soprano Sonia Yoncheva (April 25) and René Pape (May 16), considered by critics to be the best bass of the new generation.

Of interest, it is worth remembering that the cycle locations have a price range that oscillates between 20 and 40 euros.

Arts with safety

Les Arts reminds us that the regulations of the health authorities are strictly complied with to guarantee the safety of the public in all its shows.

In addition to the temperature limit and the mandatory mask, the enabling staff ensures that the maintenance of interpersonal distance remains adequate, including access and clearance of the control room to avoid crowding.

These measures are combined with the restrictions of the bathrooms and elevators, different points with the hydroalcoholic gel dispensers, together with the permanent renewal of the air for 24 hours and the daily disinfection with the authorized biocide products.

Així mateix, the theater management asks the public to plan their arrival in advance enough to guarantee fluid access to the room.
