Valencia (08.04.21). The Palau de les Arts expands the cycle of previews for those under 29 years of age with the double opera program 'Cavalleria rusticana', by Mascagni, and 'Pagliacci', by Leoncavallo, on May 20 , which brings the lyrical season to the Main Hall.
Under the musical direction of Jordi Bernàcer, Les Arts offers the most representative diptych of Italian verisme, two essential works in the repertoire of great theaters, in a scenic proposal by Giancarlo del Monaco with Jorge de León, Sonia Ganassi, Ruth Iniesta and Misha Kiria in the main papers.
The Arts have the excellent addition of 'Preview ends at 28', whose main purpose is to promote and disseminate the lyric among the youngest, in addition to facilitating its integration into the Arts, with locations at a single price of two euros and with the exclusive reservation of the venue's capacity to the public from the end of 28 anys.
'Preview ends at 28' is going to launch last season's 'Les Arts és Per a Tots', the line of programming dedicated to promoting the opening and accessibility of the theatre's cultural offerings. The initiative has a growing interest on the part of those under 29 years of age, who, in the latest editions, have limited the locations to the sale by titles such as 'Il viaggio a Reims', 'La Cenerentola' or 'Falstaff'.
The sarsuela will star in a new session of this Arts activity, next April 14, with 'El barberillo de Lavapiés'. Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez conducts the score by Asenjo Barbieri, which is represented in a muntatge by Alfredo Sanzol, with singers of accomplished experience, with the baritone Borja Quiza, the Valencian mezzo-soprano Sandra Ferrández and the Catalan soprano Maria Miró in the main roles.
