Valencia (8.3.25). The prestigious German baritone Michael Volle proposes a journey to the depths of the romantic soul in his 'Lied' recital at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía next Sunday, March 23, in the Main Hall.

'Les Arts és Lied' welcomes in its first session of 2025 one of the great voices of the Wagner and Strauss repertoire, who has sung in the main theaters and festivals of the international circuit such as Vienna, New York, Milan, London, Paris, Bayreuth or Salzburg.

Michael Volle also stands out for combining his fruitful operatic career with a brilliant facet as a 'liederist', for which he has received unanimous praise from the specialized press for the elegance, sensitivity and richness of nuances of his interpretations.

For his debut at Les Arts, the German baritone has chosen a suggestive program dedicated to two essential composers of the genre: Franz Schubert and Ferenc Liszt, along with the accompaniment of Helmut Deutsch, his reference piano partner and one of the best and most sought-after 'Lied' accompanists on the international scene.

Les Arts reminds us that the charismatic American mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato will be the star of the final session of 'Les Arts és Lied' with an evening of songs by Claude Debussy, Alma Mahler, Franz Joseph Haydn and Jake Heggie on June 5.
