The Culture Department kicks off the ‘Les Arts amb tu’ tour in Bocairent, which will feature 25 sessions of opera, recitals and chamber music throughout our regions

Valencia (June 3, 2021). The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport continues with the activities programmed by the Generalitat in the Valencian cultural capitals of 2021. In this case, it is a recital by the artists of the Centre de Perfeccionament de Les Arts, which will be held on Sunday, June 6, at the Avenida Theatre in Bocairent at 7:30 p.m.
In this context, artists from the Centre de Perfeccionament de Les Arts will present a piano recital in the town of Vall d'Albaida, performing opera and zarzuela pieces by composers such as Donizetti, Mozart, Verdi, Serrano, and Soutullo and Vert. This will be the first stop on a tour organized by Les Arts, the Valencian opera house, which is part of the Generalitat's Department of Culture. This year marks the second tour of the region under the slogan 'Les Arts amb tu' (Les Arts with you).
In the words of Councillor Vicent Marzà, “it was very important for us to start the Les Arts musical tour in Bocairent and thus offer a first-class recital for the public of the Valencian Cultural Capital and also of the entire Vall d'Albaida region.”
The tour will take place during the months of June and July and will stop in the two Valencian cultural capitals, Bocairent and Alcoy, as well as in 20 other municipalities in our territory, to propose a unifying and local artistic program in which 25 artistic sessions will be offered.
The artists from the Centre de Perfeccionament, the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana and the 'Les Arts Volant' stage truck star in the different proposals, which include nine concerts with chamber ensembles, ten lyrical recitals and six performances of the opera 'El tutor burlat', by Martín i Soler.
“Les Arts is an institution with a regional focus, and its activities, as well as the excellence of its resident companies, must extend beyond the immediate vicinity of the building located in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. This tour serves a purpose: to develop a vibrant and accessible cultural project that allows all citizens to experience opera and symphonic music,” explained Jesús Iglesias Noriega, artistic director of Les Arts.
Apart from the two Valencian cultural capitals, the programming of 'Les arts amb tu' in some of its formats will pass through Elda, Sant Mateu, Sueca, Sagunto, Alcàsser, Vinaròs, Alzira, Santa Pola, Cheste, Llíria, Puig de Santa Maria, Pinoso, Villajoyosa, Xàtiva, Gandia, la Pobla de Vallbona, Alcoy, Carcaixent, Aielo de Malferit, Benifaió and Peñíscola.
