Valencia (06.06.21). The artists from the Center de Perfectionament del Palau de les Arts close the academic year with the musical gala 'Noves Veus', which will be held next Thursday, June 10, in the Main Hall at 8:00 p.m.

Sopranos Aida Gimeno and Larisa Stefan, mezzo-sopranos Amber Fasquelle and Evgeniya Khomutova, tenors Joel Williams and Jorge Franco, baritone Oleh Lebedyev and bass-baritone Max Hochmuth, as representatives of their graduating class, perform opera and zarzuela pieces by some of the most prominent composers of both genres with musical accompaniment by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana.

For this occasion, the young conductor Diego García Rodríguez makes his debut on the podium at Les Arts. The Galician musician is considered one of the rising stars of orchestral conducting, with significant experience with ensembles in Spain, France, and England, as well as forays into the operatic repertoire at the Teatro Real in Madrid and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.

Bizet, Donizetti, Gounod, Massenet, Meyerbeer, Mozart and Verdi in the operatic section, and Giménez, Luna, Sorozábal and Soutullo and Vert for zarzuela make up the list of composers with which the young artists will demonstrate their mastery of the different repertoires they have acquired during their training at Les Arts.

Throughout the gala, the audience will be able to enjoy such popular pieces as the aria 'Una furtiva lacrima' from 'L'elisir d'amore' by Donizetti, the romance 'No puede ser' from 'La tabernera del puerto' by Sorozábal, and pages for several voices such as the final concertante from 'Don Giovanni' by Mozart, 'Ah, dov'è il perfido'.

The seats for 'Noves Veus' are part of the line of the 'Les Arts és per a Tots' programming with a single price of ten euros for all the seats in the Main Hall.
