Valencia (25.03.22). The Palau de les Arts reopens its doors this Sunday, March 27, at 12.00 pm, with a new session of 'Matins a Les Arts', featuring artists from the Centre de Perfeccionament.

The Main Hall is, once again, the setting for this activity, with which Les Arts invites the public to discover the building designed by Santiago Calatrava and learn about its artistic activity 'in situ' through its main assets for just five euros.

Pianists José Alberto Sancho and Ignacio Aparisi accompany the singers from the Centre de Perfeccionament: sopranos Rosa María Dávila and Pilar Garrido, mezzo-sopranos Laura Orueta and Mariana Sofía García, tenors Xavier Hetherington and Jorge Franco, and baritones Carlos Reynoso, Marcelo Solís, and Alejandro Sánchez.

Les Arts dedicates this matinee to 'Verdi and Romantic Song', featuring works by some of the most important composers who were contemporaries of the composer from Busseto. Works by Fauré, Chausson, Duparc, Liszt, Albéniz, and Verdi himself make up the program for this session.

The recital is part of the Verdi Marathon, which will bring the work of the Italian genius to every corner of the Valencian Community through participatory activities in collaboration with artists, associations and institutions throughout our region.

In this vein, and as a complement to the performance, the main lobby also hosts an exhibition of costumes from the operas 'Il trovatore' and 'Il corsaro', both by Giuseppe Verdi, which can be visited before the recital.
