Valencia (May 17, 2022). The recording of Puccini's 'Madama Butterfly' from the Palau de les Arts has accumulated more than 85,000 views on the Opera Vision platform's YouTube channel and is currently the most played opera on the platform, followed by Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' from the Royal College of Music in London.

'Madama Butterfly' premiered at Les Arts in December 2021, and the European platform streamed one of its performances. The recording of this performance is available on the OperaVision website from then until June 19, 2022, with subtitles in Spanish, Valencian, English, French, and German, and the option for automatic subtitle translation into more than 100 languages.

By country, Spain, the United States, Italy, Germany and France account for the bulk of the 85,365 viewers that this production has, which also leads in interactions on the OperaVision YouTube channel.

With its collaboration with this platform, Les Arts continues to demonstrate its commitment to bringing opera to all audiences, in this case by using technology as a tool to achieve free dissemination of its activities to all citizens with the highest standards of artistic quality.

During its run at Les Arts in 2021, 'Madama Butterfly' sold out every performance. Audiences and critics alike were captivated by the debut of the highly sought-after soprano Marina Rebeka in the role of the ill-fated Cio-Cio-San, accompanied by tenor Piero Pretti as Pinkerton, under the musical direction of Antonino Fogliani and stage direction of Emilio López, with an exceptional performance by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana.
