  • After the performance, the catwalk was transformed into a huge dance floor with a DJ set by Sansixto.
  • The preview screening of 'Wozzeck' broke attendance records this season, surpassing in percentage the attendance of titles such as Castellucci's 'Requiem' or Handel's 'Ariodante'.

Valencia (May 24, 2022). More than 1,200 young people, under 29 years old, impressed by the musical and dramatic power of the work, gave a standing ovation to the pre-premiere of the opera 'Wozzeck', a title never before seen in the history of opera in Valencia, with which the Les Arts opera season is closed.

To mark the first performance of this play in Valencia, Les Arts organized an event for young people which, in addition to the performance, included an evening with an outdoor DJ.

After the performance of 'Wozzeck', which lasted one hour and forty minutes, the Main Walkway was transformed from 9:00 pm into a cutting-edge dance floor with lighting and ambiance provided by the Les Arts technical team to accompany the session of Valencian DJ Sansixto and his fusion of 'tech house' with the music of Alban Berg.

The 1,239 attendees at the preview enjoyed this experience, with which Les Arts is committed to formats and proposals that bring its activity closer to new audiences.

With 'Wozzeck', Les Arts closes its 'Pre-premiere for ages 28 and up' series for the 2021-2022 season, which, for just ten euros, allows spectators up to 28 years old to enjoy opera in the Main Hall. 'Wozzeck' also stands out as the title with the highest attendance and occupancy rate (91%), surpassing titles such as Castellucci's staged 'Requiem' or 'Ariodante'.
