Manuel Moreno Maya 'El Pele' was born in 1954 into a humble family in Córdoba. At just 15 years old, he received his first award, which launched a rising career that has made him one of the most important and prestigious flamenco singers, renowned for his authenticity, knowledge, and musical intuition.

He has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists such as David Bowie and Prince; he was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for his album 'Canto' and has received numerous awards throughout his brilliant artistic career.

El Pele, “tireless, a fighter and an innovator of flamenco”, demonstrates in each of his concerts the wisdom, respect and passion he feels for flamenco, to which he gives an undeniable personality, purity and unique expressiveness.

During his visit to Les Arts, the Cordoban artist will be accompanied by José Moreno and Edu Gómez on palmas (handclapping) and by guitarist Niño Seve, who has played alongside the most recognized voices of the genre.

'Les Arts és Flamenco' brings together great artists from the flamenco scene in each edition, allowing the public to learn about its different variations of the genre and enjoy one of the most important hallmarks of Spanish culture.
