'Les Arts és inclusió' brings lyrics and symphonic music to penitentiary centers

'Les Arts és per a tots'  

• The performances will be performed by the professors of the Valencian Community Orchestra and the artists of the Center de Perfectionament.
• The initiative is based on 'Les Arts és per a tots', with the purpose of guaranteeing the access of all citizens to artistic activities

Valencia (18.6.22). The Palau de les Arts launches a new line of dissemination of the new artistic activity with 'Les Arts és inclusió', which will bring lyrics and symphonic music to the penitentiary centers of the Valencian Community.

Professors of the Valencian Community Orchestra, in cambristic groups, and the artists of the Center de Perfectionament will star in the cycle of performances that will be offered during the months of June, July and September, simultaneously with the celebration of the regional tour 'Les Arts amb tu'.

The beginning of 'Les Arts és inclusió' will comprise the provinces of Valencia and Castelló, both actions at the prison centers of Picassent and Albocàsser with a pioneering experience, and will continue in the 2022-23 season, in which other formats and activities will be developed.

The proposal is linked to the line 'Les Arts es per a tot', which aims to open and promote artistic activity to the entire city, as is reflected in the statutes of the foundation, which call for “promoting the dissemination, esteem and knowledge of these arts, as well as “Citizen assistance in this area of programming and activities.”

According to Jesús Iglesias Noriega, artistic director of Les Arts, this proposal, aimed at col·lectius in the risk of social exclusion, advances one step further in the equal access to culture that is sought by 'Les Arts is for all', once they have consolidated actions of territorialization and proximity with 'Les Arts amb' tu', 'Matins a Les Arts', 'Preview fins a 28' or 'Les Arts volant'.

Amb 'Les Arts és inclusió', is intended to enhance the social value of culture and the paper that is an integrative and personal development element for those groups that, due to the situation, do not have the opportunities to access it.

In this sense, Iglesias Noriega has highlighted that the selected programs aim to show the broadest musical window within the premise of the quality standard materials that any activity integrated into the Les Arts programming.

For this first experience, four performances have been programmed: two different recitals by the singers and pianists of the Center de Perfectionament with fragments of opera and sarsuela, and two concerts by the Valencian Community Orchestra in a cambristic grouping of the sections of strings and shafts, respectively.
