Valencia (10.10.2022). Les Arts presents 'La Commedia è (in)finita', a hilarious dialogue between Carlos Chausson and Ramon Gener about life, with music and the protagonist, which premieres next October 14 at the Teatre Martín i Soler.
With the paraules 'La Commedia è finita' (the comedy is over), the Italian composer Ruggero Leoncavallo finished his most famous opera, 'Pagliacci', in 1892. Now, more than a hundred years later, the Aragonese bassist Carlos Chausson has appeared on stage after 40 years of career with 'La commedia è (in)finita', a show that combines theater and musical to reflect on life through music in its various genres and manifestations, from opera to the end. 'rock'.
The next games will be held on October 14 and 16, at 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively, Les Arts will represent this work designed by Joan Font, which reviews the career of the internationally acclaimed baix Carlos Chausson, who, at the cost of his friend's work, the musical popularizer Ramon Gener, presents to different parts of the show life: from your first six years in Madrid you began your studies in Michigan or your next stay in Zurich.
If Chausson has dedicated a large part of his professional life to the repertoire of Rossini, Donizetti, Offenbach and Mozart, in which he has performed a multitude of memorable baix 'buffo' roles, these roles will not always be his greatest goal, since during many years he will aspire to more dramatic roles.
In the same way that Ramon Gener, who will begin his career as a baritone with singing classes from the singer Victoria of Los Angeles, will end up singing the bulls in the audience to become one of the great ambassadors of opera among the general public.
This journey through the life of ?with the two artists defining? two 'losers' who will end up having a different relationship with music than the one they initially hope will lead them to explore a variety of artists such as The Beatles, Frank Sinatra or Miguel Bosé and, to decompose, classical compositions by Beethoven, Bach or Paisiello, which will mark the different phases of their respective life trajectories.
Carlos Chausson and Ramon Gener are currently preparing at the Teatre Martín i Soler the absolute premiere of this 1 to 25 minute show, designed for all audiences.
'La commedia è (in)finita' is a co-production of Les Arts with the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, with stage direction by Joan Font, guidance by Piti Español, set design by Jordi Bulbena and audiovisuals by Alejandro Koviakov.
Tickets are available on the Les Arts website www.lesarts.com at a price of €30.
