'Les Arts Volant' is a project that brings opera to the Valencian region, reflecting Les Arts' commitment to opening its doors to the public by traveling throughout the country. The new season of 'Les Arts Volant' includes stops in 17 towns, as well as several neighborhoods in the city of Valencia.
The artistic director of Les Arts, Iglesias Noriega, has highlighted that “this year the main protagonist is one of the most fascinating and yet unknown figures in European culture: Pauline Viardot, with her latest work, 'Centrillon': a small gem of lyricism, for which we have the unquestionable genius of Joan Font.”
Les Arts Volant
Awarded at the recent Opera XXI Awards as the best initiative for promoting and disseminating opera, the 'Les Arts Volant' stage truck is specially designed to promote and perform opera in places with little musical activity or where it would be difficult to carry out a performance due to a lack of the necessary technical means or facilities.
The singers and pianists from the Centre de Perfeccionament de Les Arts make up the cast of the work, which is offered with the same standards of artistic and technical quality as a performance at Les Arts.
The Ventafocs
'Les Arts Volant' reaches its seventh edition in 2023, which begins with a new production, 'La Ventafocs', the Valencian adaptation of 'Cendrillon', by Pauline Viardot.
Joan Font, director and founder of Comediants, adapts his recent production of the original opera for 'Les Arts Volant'. The original production premiered last February at the Teatre Martín i Soler.
