Valencia (05/01/2023). The Colombian conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada will make his anticipated debut with the Valencian Community Orchestra (OCV), scheduled for May 10 at 7:30 p.m., with a concert of works by Mozart and Béla Bartók at the Auditori de Les Arts.
Described as the 'miracle of Vienna' by demanding Austrian critics, Orozco-Estrada is considered one of the essential names on the international circuit. The specialized press and the public agree to highlight the unique energy and elegance, in addition to the great communication skills of the podium, who believe that their concerts are “a unique experience.”
For his first concert with the OCV, the maestro, born in Medellín and trained in Vienna, has selected two essential works from the symphonic repertoire: 'Simfonia Júpiter' by Mozart and 'Concert per a orchestra' by Bartók; ideal vehicle to demonstrate the training quality of the holder of Les Arts i gaudir-la.
Mozart will compose the 'Simfonia no. 41', the last symphony, the summer of 1788, about three years after the death. This work of four movements stands out for its majesty and grandeur, which supposedly inspired the violinist and businessman Johann Peter Salomon to adopt the nickname 'Jupiter' in reference to the Roman Empire.
Almost two centuries later, in 1943, Bartók, suffering from leukemia, composed his famous 'Concert per a orchestra'. Given that this piece is more like a symphony for the use of a full orchestra, the Romanese will decide to name the 'concert' for the great weight that the soloists had. However, unlike traditional concerts, the role of soloist rotates between the various instruments of the orchestra, in order to focus on one instrument.
The prices of the locations for this vetlada range between 30 and 45 euros. Children under 28 years old can get tickets for a special price of 10 euros to the symphonic concerts of the season.
