Valencia (5.10.23). The Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (OCV) pays tribute to Nino Bravo this Friday, October 6, at 7.30 p.m., in an extraordinary concert at the Auditori del Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía.
The Les Arts resident orchestra, under the direction of Óliver Díaz and with Serafín Zubiri as soloist, will offer in '50 years without Nino Bravo' a program dedicated entirely to the singer from Aielo del Malferit, with 'ad hoc' arrangements by Juanjo Colomer.
The concert, for which tickets have sold out, is part of the official events of the 'Nino Bravo Year', declared in 2023 by the Generalitat, Les Corts Valencianes and the City Council of Aielo de Malferit as an official tribute to his musical and sociocultural legacy, on the 50th anniversary of his death.
Óliver Díaz, considered one of the most prominent conductors in the national opera and symphonic circuit, returns to Les Arts to conduct Serafín Zubiri and the OCV in a repertoire that will include, among others, the singer's greatest hits such as 'Un beso y una flor', 'Libre', 'Noelia', 'Cartas amarillas' or 'Te quiero, te quiero'.
The renowned composer Juanjo Colomer has made the arrangements exclusively for this evening, a new collaboration between the Alzira native and the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, which has previously performed his works such as 'Fierabrass', 'Convergencias' or the most recent premiere of 'Sorolla breve suite', based on the music of his ballet 'Sorolla'.
The concert '50 years without Nino Bravo' is included within the performances of the collaboration agreement signed between Turisme de la Comunitat Valenciana and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía.
