Les Arts és Flamenco

  • At just 19 years old, the precocious and award-winning Sevillian artist stands out as the great promise of national flamenco.
  • It proposes a journey through the legacy of 'La Niña de los Peines', the legendary flamenco singer who marked a before and after in the history of flamenco

Valencia (19.05.25). The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía closes its 'Les Arts és Flamenco' cycle with the new revelation of cante jondo, Reyes Carrasco, who will perform on Friday, May 23, at the Teatre Martín i Soler with 'Pastora en mi memoria', a concert paying tribute to one of the legends of the flamenco scene of all time, Pastora María Pavón Cruz, 'La Niña de los Peines'.

At just 19 years old, Reyes Carrasco is a phenomenon who has broken records for precocity. The 'youngest artist in history' to receive all the awards she has amassed, such as the Revelation Artist award at the Jerez Festival, and the flamenco singer who was already giving recitals at only nine years old, is currently one of the essential names at the best festivals of the genre.

Reyes Carrasco has shared the stage with the most important names in flamenco and current music, such as Esperanza Fernández, Estrella Morente, Israel Fernández, José Mercé, Pitingo, David de María, Diego Carrasco, Falete, Fernando Soto, Lolita Flores, Rosario Flores, Tomasito, Miguel Poveda or India Martínez.

The singer from Los Palacios y Villafranca will be accompanied by El Perla on guitar while Edu Gómez and Perico La Chana will be on chorus and palmas in this classic-style recital with which she remembers 'La Niña de los Peines', considered by many to be the best flamenco singer in history, through bulerías, tangos and seguiriyas.

Les Arts reminds everyone that tickets for the Reyes Carrasco concert can be purchased through its various sales channels: box offices, sales line 96 197 59 00 and its website .
