Argentinian bass Ángel Agustín Albornoz was born in Rosario del Tala. He studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón, where he completed his studies with Alejandra Malvino and Maestro Sergio Giai. He has attended master classes with international icons such as David Gowland (Royal Opera House) and Eytan Pessen. Some of his early solo roles are Betto di Signa in Gianni Schicchi and the First Soldier in Salome, both at the Teatro Colón. He has also been Doctor and Assassin in Macbeth at the Teatro Avenida in Buenos Aires, as well as Doctor in La traviata or Colline in La bohème. As singer of the Coro Estable of the Teatro Colón, he was selected to be a cover in productions such as Billy Budd. He is currently a member of the Centre de Perfeccionament del Palau de les Arts.
