Filipp Modestov
Tenor
Born in Krasnoyarsk (Siberia), he was the winner of the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Scholarship and the Elena Obraztsova Chamber Music Competition in St. Petersburg. He studied singing in his master's degree at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, after completing singing studies at the A. G. Schnittke State Institute of Music in Moscow. He made his debut as Dona Cate in Wolf-Ferrari's Il campiello at the Mozarteum University, and in 2023 he participated in the youth programme of the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, as well as in the European project Opera out of Opera 2. He has offered concerts at the La Voce Festival in Bad Reichenhall, with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and sang a concert in memory of Beniamino Gigli in Rome. He is a member of the Centre de Perfeccionament del Palau de les Arts, under the advice of Spanish soprano María Bayo.
