Freddie De Tommaso

Rodolfo

Voice and talent, in the tradition of the great Italian tenors, the British-Italian Freddie De Tommaso rose to fame in 2021 when he performed Tosca at Covent Garden at the age of 28. An exclusive Decca artist, his albums Passione (winner of the BBC Music Magazine Breakthrough Artist of the Year award) and Il Tenore quickly reached number 1 on the classical charts. This season confirms his meteoric rise: Un ballo in maschera at the Liceu, Adriana Lecouvreur and in recital with Lise Davidsen, Verdi's Requiem with the La Scala orchestra and Riccardo Chailly, in addition to his debuts as Pollione in Norma in Naples, Adorno in Simon Boccanegra at the Vienna State Opera and Rodolfo in Luisa Miller at Les Arts.
