Accessibility at the Palau de les Arts
The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia is a cultural venue distinguished by its commitment to accessibility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can enjoy the activities and performances it offers.
Among the specific facilities for wheelchair users are:
- Adapted access points: The building has wide, accessible entrances and exits, allowing easy access for people with reduced mobility.
- Reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility: The Palau provides reserved areas in the halls, located in strategic spots to ensure excellent visibility of the stage.
- Accessible routes: There are wide routes and corridors that make it easy to move around inside the building, as well as lifts suitable for accessing the different levels of the Palau.
- Support services: When required, Palau staff are trained to provide additional assistance to people with disabilities upon prior request, thus enhancing the visitor experience.
- Accessible restrooms: The Palau’s restrooms are equipped with adapted facilities for people with reduced mobility, ensuring comfort and functionality throughout the visit.
Additionally, it offers the Teatre accesible service, an audio description service supporting communication through voice-over narration that includes information on the most relevant visual elements of a stage production.
- Aimed at blind and/or low-vision people.
- The device can be collected at the Teatro Accesible stand before the performance, in the theatre lobby (we recommend arriving 20 minutes before the performance starts).
