In Opérame. ¿Qué diablos es la ópera?, José Manuel Zapata plays the role of a crazy inventor, the son of a tenor and a nuclear female scientist. Frustrated about not being able to follow in his father's footsteps, Doctor Hans-Franz Tenor uses his knowledge to build robots which are able to sing the way he never could. However, the Doctor does not know that he has a split personality. On the one hand, the scientist's; on the other hand, in his moments of craziness, he is an Italian tenor who sings the best known arias in the history of opera.
